As a gymnast, I was troubled by the abuse scandal that annihilated USA Gymnastics (USAG). In 2017, I founded Power in Small Packages, a “for purpose” business, through which I sell handmade rhythmic gymnastics equipment bags featuring inspirational sayings that are posted on the walls of the Olympic Training Center gymnasium in Colorado Springs. Profits are donated to “SafeSport," established by the US Olympic Committee to end abuse in sport by making SafeSport training accessible to more organizations, leagues, teams, coaches, parents and athletes. We hope to support other charities as time goes on.
As a community, athletes are strong. Together we can make a difference. The purpose of Power In Small Packages is to create to a vehicle for giving and doing good. If you have a charity or cause for which you are seeking support, or a community outreach program, please contact us at eliza@powerinsmallpackages.com and let's figure out a way to work together!
